DAKAR: Grand Mosque upgrades lighting

One the largest mosques in the Senegalese capital of Dakar is now illuminated with Fonroche off-grid solar lighting. Our solar streetlamps were selected to replace conventional grid-connected lighting for the mosque. The Fonroche Power 365 NiMH battery system and photovoltaic modules combine with powerful LED lights to deliver more effective, evenly dispersed lighting at the entrance to this important place of worship, without the need for conventional electricity. This is the first stage in a major overhaul of all exterior lighting at the Al-Omari Mosque.
