Solar street lighting in Dunes: Fonroche Lighting illuminates the Rue des Pyrénées

As part of its public lighting project, the commune of Dunes, located in the Tarn-et-Garonne region (82), decided to opt for a sustainable and efficient solution with Fonroche Lighting. Some thirty solar-powered streetlights have been installed to light the Rue des Pyrénées, enabling schoolchildren and cyclists to get to the village safely, even after dark.

Mr. Morellini, deputy mayor of Dunes, explains in video why the town council chose to develop solar lighting in this new, fast-growing district. "We wanted a solution that was both economical and ecological, and that met our needs in terms of public lighting", he confides.

Fonroche Lighting's solar streetlights represent a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional street lighting. They operate autonomously, without connection to the electricity grid, significantly reducing installation and maintenance costs.

The LED technology used delivers high-quality lighting with low energy consumption. Thanks to this technology, Dunes is able to provide safe, reliable street lighting for its residents, while respecting its commitment to the environment.

Agen-based solar streetlight manufacturer Fonroche Lighting is a world leader in autonomous street lighting. The company is proud to contribute to solar street lighting projects throughout France and to promote renewable energies.

Solar street lighting is a forward-looking solution for local authorities wishing both to respect the environment and offer their residents an enhanced quality of life. The example of Dunes is a perfect illustration of how solar lighting technology can transform public spaces, while promoting sustainable development.

Choosing a local, French company

The Dunes town council received several proposals to light this isolated road, but Fonroche Eclairage stood out thanks to its expertise and the quality of its solar street lighting solutions, as well as its local presence.

100% autonomous urban lighting

Thanks to intelligent energy storage technology, Fonroche's solar-powered street lighting is completely autonomous. As a result, installation is quick and requires no electrical connection. This means there are no outages due to the sometimes damaged and aging grid.

Following this first successful project, the Dunes town council approached Fonroche Eclairage to equip a village square.

We would like to thank Mr. Morellini, deputy mayor of Dunes, for his time and confidence.
