Automatic Twilight Detection (Day/Night Transition):

From sunset, solar light takes over

The entirely autonomous Fonroche Lighting solar street lights have an integrated twilight detector linked to the photovoltaic module to manage the transition from day to night mode. Equipped with an accurate voltage threshold, the Photovoltaic Module will react on the basis of the surrounding lighting and instantly trigger the LED light as soon as night falls.

This system means you do not have to worry about time changes or night length variations as the street lights adapt to any requirements. If it is cloudy at the end of a day with low ambient light, the solar street light will light up earlier to facilitate user movement.

Appropriate and smart lighting

Regulating light intensity thanks to lighting profiles

The smart management present in each Power365 system means that storage can be programmed and optimised. Fonroche Lighting has developed 3 lighting profiles which offer an infinite amount of possibilities to adapt to the needs of the user.

1/ “Adaptive” lighting profile

The aim of this lighting profile is to determine the lighting durations according to sunset and sunrise.

Exemple : Profile 4X2 :

Schéma jour/Nuit

This 4X2 lighting profile means that the solar street light will light up for 4 hours after sunset at maximum power and 2 hours before sunrise at maximum power.

For the rest of the night, for a duration of “X” depending on the length of the night, lighting at 20% will be applied. It is possible to set a time for lights off within this stage.

Advantages

The “Adaptive” lighting profile means the street light can adapt to users’ lifestyles . When the nights are long like in winter, the maximum power will extend to 10pm. When the nights are shorter during the summer, the lighting will extend to 1am-2am in the morning.

We will be as close as possible to users’ pace of life of.

2/ "Time" lighting profile

The aim of this lighting profile is to determine the lighting durations according to set times.

Example: 23h– 6h profile:

This lighting profile means that the solar street light will light up at maximum power from sunset until 11pm and will light up at maximum power from 6am until sunrise. For the rest of the night, for a duration of “X” depending on the length of the night, lighting at 20% will be applied. It is possible to set a time for lights off within this stage.

Advantages:

The “Time” lighting profile means the street light can adapt its profile according to a schedule (closure of a shop/community centre at a set time) or legislation (light pollution laws, lights off to limit light pollution).

3/ "Full power" lighting profile

The aim of this lighting profile is to have constant power throughout the night, without any reduction in power.

Example :

Advantages :

The “Full Power” lighting profile is useful for applications where the presence of lighting at a certain level is essential (Safety lighting, roundabouts).

“Anti-Black Out” safety feature

All the Fonroche Lighting solar street lights are equipped with an “Anti-Black Out” feature which means the powering off of the solar street light can be avoided during consecutive days with bad weather.

Fonroche Lighting has created its own energy management smart system, meaning the street lights can have a weather-based energy usage.

In case of consecutive days with bad weather, the POWER365 system will slightly decrease the lighting to save battery rather than exhausting itself until shutdown.

Thus, this “Anti Black-Out” safety feature ensures a lighting service rate of 100% throughout the year, compared to a street light connected to the network which would face power cuts, which plunge entire districts into darkness.
